At Oxley Uniting Church, we want to be passionate about Jesus Christ. It’s a passion we hope to show in a range of ways; through going deeper in faith as disciples of Jesus, by means of compassion as we seek to connect with our community in ways that make a difference, and journeying with God into the future God has in store for us.

On Sunday 25 January 2026, the Uniting Church in Australia gathers to mark the Day of Mourning.
This year, our reflection is also shaped by another profound moment of national grief. On Thursday 22 January, our nation will observe a National Day of Mourning for the victims of the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach, where fifteen lives were lost during the Chanukah by the Sea gathering.
This artwork is created by artist Zoe Korbe (a Guwa Koa, Kuku Yalanji woman with historical ties to the Wakka Wakka peoples of Cherbourg community). It is inspired by Isaiah 9:2-3 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light… you have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy.”
